MMA WELDING PROCESS
The MMAW (Manual Metal Arc Welding) process or the SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) process are both manual in nature with heat generated by an electric current arcing between a fusible coated electrode and the work piece.
MMAW welding can be powered by AC or DC power sources in the MEMCO range, generally give better weld quality and are more versatile in terms of electrode type and welding environment.
The most important characteristics of MEMCO's power sources for MMA welding are welding current and dynamic response. While the welding current is determined by the diameter and the type of electrode that can be used, dynamic response determines the welding machine's speed of response to variations in arc conditions.
For improved and better welding performance, MEMCO power sources for MMA welding additionally provided HOT-START, ARC-FORCE, ANTI-STICKING and LIFT-START functions.
